
In 1988 DSA grew into the marketing information system area through a partnership with MegaPlex Software. The result was the well known FAST-COUNT® DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM… one of the first systems to combine direct end user access with a high performance query system and marketing application tools. This system set the bar for all those that followed.
In 1989 David Shepard Associates was awarded the coveted Gold Mailbox Award for the most innovative use of direct mail for their work with Sotheby's. That same year Sotheby's also won a Gold Echo Award for our marketing program.
DSA’s reference book on database marketing, “The New Direct Marketing”, was first published in 1990. Now in its third edition, it is widely recognized as the industry's standard reference on the subjects of marketing program strategy, analytics & predictive modeling as well as marketing databases and related systems.
In the late 1990’s our client base grew to be international in scope. DSA has serviced clients in Canada, South America, the U.K., Europe and Asia. While the home office is located in New York, we have staff located throughout the US.
In 2007 DSA formalized a partnership with Alterian to deliver a cutting-edge marketing system solution for clients wanting in-house management of their marketing database. This partnership involves installation and configuration of the marketing systems, as well as the training and support resources needed to use them effectively.
Today, David Shepard Associates has a significant team of seasoned professionals, averaging 20 years of direct marketing experience. We continue to provide a wide range of services to Fortune 500 companies as well as smaller niche players.
