Prior to joining DSA he was Director of Database Marketing for Donnelley Marketing Inc. In that role he managed the development of marketing database products, client consulting services and sales/marketing support functions. Some of his clients included Kraft General Foods, Sprint Communications, Wells Fargo Bank, Kimberly Clark, Goodyear Tire & Rubber and AAA Auto Club.
Previously, Rus was with Sears Roebuck & Co. where he held significant management positions in customer analysis & modeling, customer database management and circulation management for the Shop At Home and Catalog Divisions. Key accomplishments there included: implementation of 8mm and 30mm customer database systems; development of a leading-edge customer analysis and segmentation modeling department; converting Sears to a profit-maximization catalog circulation methodology, and the successful introduction of new online marketing tools.
Rus has published many articles on the application of technology and statistical research in database marketing and has participated in a number of DMA industry task force groups. He is also a frequent speaker at national conferences and seminars.
Rus holds an MBA (Magna cum Laude) with concentrations in Marketing and Information Systems from The University Of Notre Dame. His undergraduate degree in applied statistics, emphasizing public policy issues, is from Bradley University.
